Usually the names of all the pigs or nickname for the whole group
Your Name
Name of the person applying to rehome
Use this if they are one of those people whose emails are bouncing back
Do they have any questions about any aspects of it?
If they are able to transport – if the perfect home comes up further away than they stated they were willing to transport, is it an immediate no? If they aren’t able to transport make aware of the costs of hiring and they will be expected to at least contribute towards if not cover entirely the cost. Might want to start saving.

About The Pig(s)

Usually needed if the pigs have been given hilarious meat-related names. Case name is the designated pseudonym(s)

If they aren’t neutered, can they be? If they think they are, how certain are they? Do they have proof? If not, are they willing/able to get it?
How recently have they lived another another pig? What was their role in the pair or group – were they more submissive or dominant?
Who is the boss? Do they ever bicker or tussle with one another? Do they share a sleeping space? Do they remain together when active during the day?
Common issues we see are pigs being over/underweight, arthritis, dry skin, overgrown trotters. It is vital that you are transparent about any issues so we can place your pig in a home that can meet their needs.
Are they shy or friendly? Nervous or bold? Cheeky and mischievous or laid back and chill? Wary of strangers or friends with anyone?
Do they like to explore and get up to mischief or prefer to relax and snooze? Do they like to dig and root up the land or prefer to graze? How much human interaction do they get throughout the day?
Do they come to greet you when approached? Do they enjoy physical affection such as head and back scratches/belly rubs?
Do you enter their pen anytime without worry? Do you enter/not enter their pen depending on how their mood seems at the time? Do feel more comfortable interacting with them through a fence or gate? Do you avoid interaction altogether?
Do they allow you to brush them and apply lotion to their skin if necessary? Do they allow you to handle and trim their trotters if necessary? Do they allow you to look in their eyes, ears and mouth?
Does your pig charge, snap, or head-swipe at you or at other pigs? Do you ever find their behaviour unpredictable or intimidating? This question requires complete honesty. If a pig with aggressive tendencies is placed in a home that is unprepared for such behaviour and someone is injured as a result, you may be held liable. Some pigs may become short-tempered or aggressive if they have lived in an unsuitable environment for an extended period. These behavioural issues often improve once they are moved to a more appropriate setting.
Are they allowed in the house? How large is their outdoor area? Where do they sleep? What type of fencing/containment is used?
Which type/brand of pig pellets do you use? How often do they get fresh fruit and vegetables? What are their favourite foods? What times of day are they usually fed?
Are they calm or highly excitable? Do they squabble between themselves? Do they come to/follow a food bucket? Are you confident hand-feeding them?
What ages are the children? How closely and regularly have the pigs interacted with them?
Which species? How closely and regularly have they interacted?
Are they up to date with erysipelas vaccinations?
If they are not up to date with vaccinations, are you willing to vaccinate them prior to rehoming?
Are they up to date with worming treatments?
If they are not up to date with worming treatments, are you willing to treat them prior to rehoming?
Do they have an identifier?
