About Freddie and Stanley

Freddie and Stanley are a well bonded pair of brothers who spend their days together, whether that’s rooting, exploring, or stretched out side by side in the sun. They have a settled, easy dynamic and enjoy each other’s company.

Stanley is the larger of the two and takes the lead, particularly around food. Freddie is bright and curious, always keen to explore anything new in his environment and involve himself in whatever is going on around him. Stanley is a softer character who enjoys slowing down for attention and affection, often seeking out cuddles and interaction with people.

Human Interaction and Handling

Both boys are extremely friendly and enjoy being around people. They greet visitors with enthusiasm and show clear, positive engagement through their vocalisations and behaviour.

Stanley is particularly affectionate and will happily settle in for belly rubs and scratches, while Freddie also enjoys attention but can sometimes be more focused on exploring his surroundings. They are easy to be around and there are no concerns entering their space.

They are very comfortable with handling and can be examined closely, including their eyes, ears, mouth, and hooves, which they tolerate well.

Experience with Other Animals and Children

Other Animals:
They live alongside chickens and regularly interact with them calmly. They have also had friendly nose-to-nose contact with dogs through a fence.

Children:
They have grown up around children and are comfortable in their presence. As with all animals, interactions should be supervised.

Health and Care

Our initial assessment indicates both boys are in good overall health.

Reason for Rehoming

Their current space is far too small and cannot provide the room they need, particularly during winter when conditions become very difficult.

Ideal Home

Freddie and Stanley would suit a home where they have plenty of space to root, explore, and stay active. They are naturally inquisitive and would benefit from an environment that offers stimulation, enrichment, and opportunities to investigate.

They enjoy human interaction and would do well in a home where they can receive regular attention and engagement. As a bonded pair, they must remain together.

Please Note

Freddie and Stanley have not had an in-person assessment by our team. They have been reviewed and considered suitable for rehoming, and the information provided comes from their current home.

We’d ideally like to find a new home close to their current location, but we’re open to applications from further afield if you can offer them the right home.

About You

Your Name
Address
If yes, please provide their name
If the role will be shared, who else will be responsible for the pigs’ care and well being?
Not having previous experience will not disqualify you from consideration for adoption, but it may affect which pig/s are best suited to you
If your application is successful, will you be able and willing to collect the pigs and transport them to their new home?
Not being able to collect the pigs is not a disqualifying factor. This information simply helps us assess suitable options for you

Your Land and Set-Up

You don’t need to be fully set up before applying. We’re happy to help you get pig-ready, so if you’re still preparing, please answer the following questions based on your plans
If you rent the land the pigs will live on, do you have your landlord’s permission to keep pigs there for their full lifetime?
Do you have a CPH number?
Do you have a herd mark?
A CPH Number and herd mark are required by law to keep pigs, we cannot complete an adoption without them
Are you happy for us to conduct a further home check?
This will usually be done via phone call, photos and videos

Other Pigs/Animals

I confirm that no animals under my care are used for the purpose of breeding, sale or slaughter
If you are unable to answer yes to this question, we cannot proceed with your application
Do you currently have any other pigs?
Do you intend to integrate any new pigs you adopt with your current pigs?
Ideal set up includes separate fenced off and secure areas (ideally next door to each other). Further advice on introductions and set up can be found on our website
I have read and agree to the Terms of Sevice
