About Delilah and Doris

Delilah and Doris are a closely bonded pair who spend their days exploring, foraging, and settling down together to rest. Delilah is the larger of the two and naturally takes the lead, especially around food, with Doris happily allowing Delilah to be the boss. Their dynamic works well, with the pair moving through the day in a relaxed rhythm together.

Doris is curious and quick to investigate anything new, often coming over to see what is going on, while Delilah is a little more independent and content to do her own thing nearby. Both are active pigs who enjoy rooting and foraging, and they make the most of their environment, whether that is exploring or stretching out in the sun.

Human Interaction and Handling

Both girls are very friendly and will come straight over to greet anyone entering their space. They are easy to be around and enjoy attention, especially belly rubs and scratches, which they happily relax into. There are no concerns when entering their paddock, and they are comfortable with people moving around them.

Experience with Other Animals and Children

Other Animals:
They have shared space with sheep and have been settled alongside them. They are also used to seeing horses in a neighbouring field.

Children:
They have been around children in an outdoor setting without any issues. As with all animals, interactions should be supervised.

Health and Care

Our initial assessment indicates both girls are in good overall health.

Reason for Rehoming

Their current setup has become difficult to manage as the land is no longer suitable for the number of animals, and they need a more appropriate space.

Ideal Home

Delilah and Doris would suit a home where they have plenty of space to root, forage, and stay active. They enjoy being busy and benefit from regular enrichment such as toys, varied environments, and opportunities to explore.

They respond well to human interaction and would thrive in a home where they can receive regular attention and engagement. As a bonded pair, they must remain together.

Please Note

Delilah and Doris have not had an in-person assessment by our team. While they have been reviewed and considered suitable for rehoming, all the information provided comes from their current home.

We’d ideally like to find a new home close to their current location, but we’re open to applications from further afield if you can offer them the right home.

About You

Your Name
Address
If yes, please provide their name
If the role will be shared, who else will be responsible for the pigs’ care and well being?
Not having previous experience will not disqualify you from consideration for adoption, but it may affect which pig/s are best suited to you
If your application is successful, will you be able and willing to collect the pigs and transport them to their new home?
Not being able to collect the pigs is not a disqualifying factor. This information simply helps us assess suitable options for you

Your Land and Set-Up

You don’t need to be fully set up before applying. We’re happy to help you get pig-ready, so if you’re still preparing, please answer the following questions based on your plans
If you rent the land the pigs will live on, do you have your landlord’s permission to keep pigs there for their full lifetime?
Do you have a CPH number?
Do you have a herd mark?
A CPH Number and herd mark are required by law to keep pigs, we cannot complete an adoption without them
Are you happy for us to conduct a further home check?
This will usually be done via phone call, photos and videos

Other Pigs/Animals

I confirm that no animals under my care are used for the purpose of breeding, sale or slaughter
If you are unable to answer yes to this question, we cannot proceed with your application
Do you currently have any other pigs?
Do you intend to integrate any new pigs you adopt with your current pigs?
Ideal set up includes separate fenced off and secure areas (ideally next door to each other). Further advice on introductions and set up can be found on our website
I have read and agree to the Terms of Sevice
