Single pig available for adoption in East Yorkshire
Breed: Large white mix
Size: approx 140 kg
Health: Baby has had several litters of piglets but is in good health
Baby is finally being allowed to retire from life as a breeding sow. She needs a good home with people who will give her the wonderful life she truly deserves.
She is large white mixed breed but looks just like a large white. Despite her hard life she is a very sweet, gentle girl who needs the opportunity to explore the outdoors for the first time. She is intelligent and can get restless cooped up inside her little stall all the time. She is good with children and has been a great mother to all of her litters, but it is time someone took care of Baby.
As she is very pale and has spent all of her life indoors, her new home will need to have lots of outdoor shade to protect her delicate skin. She will also need access to a wallow and a suitable sunblock applied during sunny summer days.
Baby deserves the whole world, but we’ll settle for a good home.
We’d love to find a new home close to her current location, but if you can offer her the perfect home further away we would still love to hear from you!
Apply to Adopt
Please note, as well as a completed adoption application form we require several good quality photographs of the areas in which the pigs would live. You should include photographs that give a good idea of the size of the space available, the type and features of the terrain, all shelters that would be accessible by the pigs and the type of containment you will be using (stock-proof fencing, electrical fencing, walls etc.)
You can submit these photographs by emailing us directly at email@example.com
A member of our team will be in touch once we have received your completed form and photographs.
Please be aware that as a rescue and rehoming service we do not support the slaughter or breeding of animals. By submitting this form you confirm and agree that any animals within your care are kept as companion animals and are not/will not be used for the purpose of breeding or consumption, human or otherwise.
